Movemile nominated for the Sustainable Energy Europe Award Competition 2012

MOVEMILE and Rovisco Pais Hospital together have been nominated for the Sustainable Energy Europe Award Competition 2012, in the “TRAVELLING” category.

From a total of 262 submitted projects for the SEE Awards 2012, 25 initiatives have been shortlisted and are now in the final running for an Award in one of the following five categories: Communicating, Consuming, Learning, Living and Travelling.

Finalist projects come from 14 different EU Member States (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom), in addition to a number of projects managed by pan-European partnerships.

Winners will be made public at a prestigious Award Ceremony which will take place in Brussels on 19 June 2012 in the framework of the European Union Sustainable Energy Week 2012.You will receive an invitation at a later stage.

Representatives of the Argelian Government visit Move at Hospital Rovisco Pais

On the 8th February 2012, representatives of the Argelian Government, invited by the Portuguese Government, will visit Hospital Rovisco Pais.
The purpose of this visit is to road show Portuguese Technology, like Movemile´s Move – the electric driverless vehicle, which is currently in use at this Hospital.
During this visit they will be accompanied by elements of the Portuguese Ministry of Economy and Employment and it will be a great opportunity to promote Move and its great features!

World Electric Vehicle Summit 2012

From 12th until 14th of June, Move Mile will be present at the World Electric Vehicle Summit 2012, which will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The World Electric Vehicles Summit is the Leading Meeting Place for Stakeholders Representing Battery Electric Vehicles, Electric Fleets and EV Charging Infrastructure.

International experts will share knowledge on high level strategic planning, technical advances and the latest on opportunities for growth with many sectors, among which electrical vehicles.
On 14th June, after the main conference, there will be EV Charging Infrastructure Symposium – an entire day of sessions that together explore new and emerging opportunities in this sector of the EV industry within the context of today’s commercial, strategic and technical challenges relating to the successful mass market deployment of charging infrastructure.

DHMS: 2nd Health Open Day

On the past 26th of October 2011, Move Mile was on display at the DHMS: 2nd Health Open Day, held at IPN ( Instituto Pedro Nunes), Coimbra, along with other innovative medical solutions.
This meeting was organized by IPN, AIBILI ( Association for Innovation and Biomedical Research on Light), AP BIO (Portuguese Association on Bioindustries), CCDRC (Coordinating Committee and Regional Development of the the Center) and UATEC (Aveiro University).
There were more than 120 participants (such as, for example, BIO Cant, PT Inovação, IdealMed R&D) coming from different walks of health and more, who attended conferences and workshops, with the purpose to create synergies to achieve outstanding solutions for the health world.
This event was about to gather all the players on the regional level in the healthcare world.
Move Mile presented its mobility solution, already working with tremendous success for almost two years in the Hospital Rovisco Pais.
During the lunch and coffee break all the participants visited the exhibition, in which Move Mile’s was very requested, because of its positive impact on the patients mobility in the daily life in the hospital facility.
In the exhibition space where companies and their solutions for the medical area were shown, Move Mile also presented a promotional film, showing its application in a real environment (at Hospital Rovisco Pais) where it is used by real people.

2nd Conference about Urban Mobility

MOVEMILE was present at the 2nd Conference about Urban Mobility at Museu da Carris located at Lisbon.
This Conference was organized by Arquitecturas Newspaper in partnership with the Carris, Lisboa City Hall and TICE.pt.

Participated in this conference about 142 people, 22 invited experts and 46 companies, partner organizations, supporters and exhibiting about Urban City Mobility. This Conference had the purpose to inform and discuss all the strategies and solutions for an efficient mobility management for the mobility future in Portugal with experts, companies and political decision makers from all over the world.

During this conference, Professor Bruno Santos invited professor from DEC (Civil Engineering Department of Coimbra University), presented an essay about Urban Mobility with the title: “The autonomous electric vehicle in the collective public transport” where Movemile Company and its mobility solution were presented. The purpose of this paper, among others, was to show the impact of Movemile vehicle in the urban transport system.
In the exhibition space where companies and their solutions for urban mobility were shown, Movemile also presented a promotional film, showing its application in a real environment (at Hospital Rovisco Pais) where it is used by real people.

There was also a network lunch with thematic tables to enable all the participants gathered in each table to exchange ideas and thoughts about the subject of the conference.

European Energy Venture Fair 2011

Move Mile has been selected as one of the 15 companies attending European Energy Venture Fair 2011, an exclusive investor conference that will be held in Zurich on the 13th and 14th September.

The European Energy Venture Fair is organized by the Energy Venture Forum, a Swiss non-profit association established in 2007. The founding members of the Forum are Emerald Technology Ventures AG and BI Technology A/S. The goals of this event are to strengthen relationships, learn more about new technologies, hear from experts in the business and meet up-and-coming companies looking for investors.

II Forum CIVINET Portugal – Spain

In the coming June 7 and 8, Move Mile will take part in the II Forum CIVINET Portugal- Spain that will take place in Coimbra, an initiative related to Rede Civitas (CIty-VITAlity-Sustainability) for the promotion of sustainable urban mobility.
This forum makes part of European Comission CIVITAS Programs of promotion of good practices in the area of sustainable mobility, including the components of road safety and energy efficiency program, and having as motto make our cities “better and cleaner.”
The main goal of the initiative is to share and promote the experiences in the mobility area of all the Portuguese and foreign cities that will be present in this forum.

II Forum Civitas Portugal-Spain Program
